Teac PolarStar - DVD - Disc Publishing System

The TEAC POLARSTAR, an all-in-one system for the entry-level sector that is equipped with a printer, HD, robotics, DVD drive and controller. Photo-realistic images with a resolution of up to 400 dpi are possible due to the thermo re-transfer printing technology.

The PolarStar from TEAC in the disc publishing sector is being positioned on the market as a professional entry-level device. The POLARSTAR combines an attractive design in plain black with a network capable on-demand system featuring fully automated printing technology. The special feature of this system is the clear-coating process, which enables printing of discs that are scratchproof, UV-resistant and waterproof.

The thermo retransfer printing technology prints images in photo-realistic quality. Resolutions of up to 400 dpi are no problem for the POLARSTAR. The image is first applied to a transparent film - the retransfer film. This film is then permanently applied, with the image on the bottom side, to the CD or DVD. The system, which weighs 40 kilograms, has an output capacity of 50 CD-Rs or DVDs.
